Car sickness: Try Phosphorus

When you have a dog who starts drooling and looking cross eyed before the car even starts, you might have a friend in the homeopathic remedy called Phosphorus.

There are a couple of other hints about the “phosphorus patient” that might be there to help you decide if it’s worth a go.

1. These animals are super sensitive:

·        To emotions, often sensing your intent before you even move to do something

·        To the approach of storms, which often scare them

2. They also tend to both love company (shadowing you to the toilet, even) and feel horrible when left alone.

3. They are often quite thirsty, compared to average or expected. Big drinkers.

A friend here in India had an assistant who used to have to tag along in every car ride Marsha took. She’d get deathly ill every time.

I asked her just a couple questions: Was she thirsty? Yes.

Did storms scare her? Yes, at least she didn't like them.

And I noticed her fine facial features and general beauty, often a trait of the remedies in the group Phos belongs to.

I suggested Phos 30C before every car trip.

It worked so well, she only had to do this once or twice, and every car ride after that she was free of carsickness.

Now, if your dog is only sick in the rear seat or worse, the far rear end of an SUV, first try letting them see what’s coming, with a front seat harness for safety.

If you’ve ever been in a crowded vehicle and couldn’t see the turns ahead and the path of the journey, you know what I’m talking about! Nausea is common when your vestibular apparatus is getting swung around without any warning.

But phos may help even those individuals you can’t get into the front seat.

Just pop a pellet or two in before you leave the house and see.

If things are decidedly better, you’ve found your car sickness remedy.

If not, your next best step is to search out a qualified homeopathic vet.
